The blacklist feature is a great way to avoid contacting specific companies or people during your campaigns.
This can be critical for a number of reasons. For instance, if you’ve already closed a deal with a client, you don’t want to annoy them by contacting them again about the same product.
To use the blacklist feature, follow these simple steps:
1. Head to “Settings” from the left-hand menu in your home dashboard.
2. Click on “Blacklist” and you’ll be presented with a space for all your blacklisted companies and contacts.

3. Copy the LinkedIn URL of the company or profile you wish to blacklist and paste it into the box provided
4. You can also upload a CSV file with company or prospect data to ensure you avoid contacting them.

ProspectingToolkit can Blacklist users using any of the following attributes:
First name
LinkedIn Profile Link
Last name
Website
Position
Company name
University Name
It's best to add the person's LinkedIn URL to help ensure that a specific person is not contacted.
Adding just their name will blacklist all people who share that same name. It's also important to remember that the company name must match the company name online exactly.
Tips for using blacklists
When inserting a name for blacklisting, it’s far better to copy and paste the specific LinkedIn URL of the person, as typing in just their name will blacklist everyone who shares that name.
Make sure the company’s name is spelled exactly how it appears online, or you’ll risk the blacklist not working.
